“This award is well deserved. We’re proud of Mike’s many accomplishments at Trinity Health and in the health care industry overall,” said Joseph R. Swedish, president and CEO of Trinity Health. “Mike’s an innovator. Many health care executives are talking about creating health networks that put patients at the center of care, but Mike is making that happen in Trinity Health communities across the country.” Slubowski was named President of Health Networks in 2009 as part of Trinity Health’s strategy to position itself for the expected changes under health reform. In this role, he provides executive leadership to ambulatory care services, physician practices, home care, and senior services/long-term care for Trinity Health, which represent 50% of the organization’s revenues. He leads the development of market-based Accountable Health Networks by aligning and integrating Trinity Health’s continuum of services to position the organization for pay-for-performance. He also leads initiatives to align physicians and hospitals through clinical integration to deliver the best care in the most effective and efficient manner possible. About Trinity Health Trinity Health is the fourth-largest Catholic health care system in the country.
